Department history

Nur-Mubarak was founded in 2001, when EIMU was opened. In the first place, as part of the faculty that trained Islamic scholars. Today, there are Departments of Islamic Studies and religious studies.

The Department of Islamic Studies has been training Islamic scholars with higher education since 2001.

From 2001 to 2012, the head of the department was Doctor of sharia sciences (PhD) ATO as-Sinbati,

In 2013-2014, doctor of sharia sciences (PhD) Atiya Fathi Muhammad Ali Al-Fiqh served.

In 2014-2017, the head of the department was Doctor of basic Islamic Education (PhD), associate professor Shamshat Amangeldievna Adilbayeva. Since 2017, the head of the department is Nurlan Sailauovich Anarbayev, doctor (PhD) in Islamic studies.

Arabic is taught from the first year, and Arabic is taught from the second year by doctors and professors of the branches of aqida, Fiqh, Hadith and tappir of the Egyptian University of Al-Azhar. As well as domestic doctors, professors:

- Fundamentals of Islamic law;
- Moral issues in the Qur'an;
- Family science;
- Islamic theology;
- The teachings of the Quran;
- The doctrine of hadith;
- Methods of hadith scholars, etc. teaches subjects.

DEPARTMENT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

      Training of specialists capable of working at various levels of the civil service of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ministries, departments, administrations), research centers, the media and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, expert centers, religious rehabilitation centers, etc. within their competence and qualifications; Development of educational and methodological infrastructure based on equipping the educational process with modern teaching technologies and teaching aids;
     Establishing contacts with domestic and foreign research centers; Ensuring professional development and retraining of specialists; Contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists who can anticipate and prevent religious extremist and terrorist threats to the security and stability of the state, and provide socio-psychological, religious and theological assistance to citizens affected by destructive religious movements.
 Contribute to professional development; Achieving a level of education that provides quality and competitiveness; Wide introduction of modern scientific achievements and innovative educational technologies in the educational process; Linking theoretical knowledge with practical areas of public demand;

Scientific and scientific direction of the department:

Today, the department employs 41 teachers. 55% of them are candidates and doctors of science.
Teachers of the department are responsible for such subjects as the Holy Quran, morality in the Koran, child rearing, family in Islam, creed, Sufism in Kazakhstan, creed, biography of the prophet, hadith. Teachers are not limited to their own teaching, but also conduct additional open lessons and improve their skills in accordance with modern requirements.
Under the guidance of Doctoral Students Nurzhan Stambakiev and Kurmet Smagulov, NMU teaches students the basics of the doctrine, jurisprudence, hadith, autobiography of Prophet. Teachers and professors of the Department participate in international, national, university scientific and practical conferences and publish books on behalf of the university publishing house.
Akimkhanov Askar, Zhamashev Azamat, Rakhimgaziev Zhaidar, Smagulov Kurmet, Seitmamatov Nurlan, Ilimbaev Rizabek, Shaizan Baurzhan, Stambakiev Nurzhan, Smagulov Nurzhan, Zhumatayev Abulkhair, Ilesbekov Bizhan, Uisenbayev Beibit, Saripbekov are advisors to the students.
